Voor real-time face-to-face videoconferencing is de TravelMate 7730 voorzien van een Acer CrystalEye-webcam, een speciale camera voor videoconferencing boven het lcd-scherm. Voor optimale opslagcapaciteit kan de TravelMate 7730 ook worden uitgebreid met een tweede harde schijf. Verder is de TravelMate 7730 door zijn probleemloze omschakeling van de ene naar de andere connectiviteitsoptie het ideale communicatie-instrument voor de professionele gebruiker. De nieuwste draadloze N-kaart en Acer SignalUp™ met draadloze InviLink™ Nplify™-technologie zorgen voor de op dit moment hoogst haalbare snelheden voor draadloze verbindingen. De notebook biedt ook de mogelijkheid van een WPAN-verbinding via de optionele geïntegreerde Bluetooth 2.0 module of een vaste LAN-verbinding via de ingebouwde Gigabit Ethernetkaart.

De Travelmate 7730 heeft Acer Bio-Protection, de speciale vingerafdrukbeveiliging van Acer voor optimale beveiliging van uw notebook, uw netwerk en uw gegevens. Bio-Protection is een onderdeel van Acer Empowering Technology en werkt op basis van vingerafdrukken in plaats van wachtwoorden. Dat is niet alleen veilig maar ook heel gemakkelijk. De TravelMate 7730 biedt naadloze bescherming van de gegevens op de harde schijf door middel van een HDD-wachtwoord, zelfs als de harde schrijf uit de notebook wordt verwijderd. Een geruststellende gedachte. En tot slot wordt de Travelmate 7730 ook geleverd met een Kensington-beveiligingsslot, waarmee u de notebook veilig kunt vergrendelen.
